The ECO Scheme Grants initiative was introduced by the Government in 2013 to help combat fuel poverty and to reduce carbon emissions from homes.
Old, inefficient central heating boilers and electric storage heaters are replaced under the scheme with new, modern and more energy efficient versions. This reduces carbon emissions from homes whilst helping to reduce heating bills because modern heating systems use less energy.
The cost of heating your home accounts for more than 60% of the average household energy bill so installing a more energy efficient boiler can make a real difference. Replacing a G-rated boiler with an A-rated boiler could save over £200 per year for the average householder in a semi-detached property.
ECO Scheme Grants are provided to replace oil boilers, LPG boilers & electric storage heaters, and to install cavity wall insulation and loft insulation.
If you have a faulty or inefficient oil boiler or LPG boiler, apply for an ECO Grant to help you install a new boiler and keep your home warm.
